Building Adjudication Victoria Inc (BAV) is authorised by the Building Commission as a Nominating Authority for adjudicators. BAV provides an independent panel of lawyers who are experts in construction law to act as adjudicators under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 ('the Act').

BAV is completely independent and is not associated or affiliated with any trade association or lobby group. Our adjudicators are experts who act for a wide range of parties to building and construction disputes including sub-contractors, contractors, building professionals and insurers.

Our Adjudicators

• have successfully completed the course of Bachelor of Laws or a recognized equivalent course that entitles the adjudicator to be admitted to legal practice in Victoria
• hold a current Local Practising Certificate under the Legal Profession Act 2004
• have at least 10 years experience as a Construction Law practitioner

BAV's adjudicators are expert building lawyers who know the Act.
